About the Artist
ARTIST STATEMENT:
I’ve always been drawn to nature – the rhythm of water, the light flickering through trees, and the way the sky holds color. It brings a sense of immense peace and oneness with the surroundings that I hope can be felt in my work. Capturing and replicating the feeling of being in nature is my ultimate goal. Some landscapes require delicate planning while others manifest as quick as my brush will move. Ultimately, I hope you’re left feeling the emotional connection to nature that drove me to create. As a professional artist of 17+ years, I feel fortunate to be creating work that cultivates the connection of art and nature.
BIOGRAPHY:
Born in Western Michigan, Marella Morris has been creating art from a young age. She began selling her work professionally at age 17, while also employed at a reputable fine art gallery and custom frame shop. Marella’s work can be found in private and corporate collections nationally and internationally. She currently resides in Michigan with her husband and two young children.
